350Z steering wheel install

I like it and the price is right, but it just seems too sporty for the FX. That's just my opinion, but I don't like the FX airbag and with that wheel, the airbag will look worse. Same issues apply to G/Z as well. I think the OEM wheel is plenty comfortable and matches the interior pretty well. That wheel would fit better in a coupe or sports car of some kind. I'm looking for something similar for my BMW.

I see where you are coming from, but there is way's of tying everything together:

I have been debating since your post memem. I was planing to DIY it. Mines are dipped and I don't like it.

Well if anyone is interested let me know.

Otherwise I might have to purchase one of those spare steering wheels from you if you are willing to part with them Andy.

Did you get the 5 people needed for the group buy?

I have 3, you would be the 4th.

I kinda put the thought on hold for a bit as I had other plans, but if others still want to do this I am most definitely willing to set it up, and it is something I want to do myself.

Would it be any cheaper to do the flat bottom wheel without the carbon fiber?

No. The process they do involves removing all the leather from the steering wheel and re-wrapping it as per customer specs. Without CF, just means they have to wrap that portion in leather, suade or alcantara as the customer desires. So it still costs the same.
