Anyone here familiar with how to remove the headlight assembly from the 2nd gen FXs? I can't figure out what it is that I'm looking. Will I have to remove the wheel well molding and splash shield to get to it or is there an easier way?
you have to remove the whole front bumper first. few 10mm nuts under the hood, and you have to remove the fender plastic piece as well to get to a nut behind the fender wheel well
Yeah, it's a pretty detailed process and it involves exactly what you're talking about. I figured it out too late in the day to get the project rolling.
I'm going to black out the inside of the lights and install halos. Expect a nice DIY write-up afterward. :smile (2):
Lol it looks like your already there! Btw on the halos i think a super bright led eyebrow with the round halos combined
might look better and give it a more aggresive look
I'm trying to find a video that I saw on youtube of just such a thing. The guy had halos on a 2gen with an LED strip that looked like an eyebrow. It was cool, but a tad overboard for my tastes.

That was a member on here with a white fx from Vegas. He went way overboard with the headlights. Looks so cheesy, did not like them at all. I say just do halos. Looks perfect on the fx.
