2nd Gen FX35 with test pipes only

In case anyone was wondering what it sounds like if you put just test pipes and a stock exhaust, here it is. it sounds absolutely TERRIBLE! I took off my ARK exhaust just so my dad can use the car for a few months and now I'm embarassed to be around the car because it sounds so rice, but here you go:

and mods, i can't seem to choose the prefix for gen2
 
Lerry, what test pipes are you running? Do you think they would sound good on the Invidia system?

Do you have any CEL's, or can you do a simple cel fix by installing an o2 adapter so it sees less exhaust?
 
Yikes. Good thing that rear diffuser is so sick. ;)

Hows the noise level inside with that configuration?
 
its really quite on the inside

@srtoad4: to be honest i've had the invidia and i feel like the hfc combo was too raspy and drone for me, just the cbe was much better. to be honest any test pipe combo will produce power but my favorite set up is right now, motordyne art pipes with the ark cat-back since its really straight without much bends so theres a nice deep classy tone, just screams power. to each their own
 
Oh wow that does sound bad, with the ARK though it sounds amazing.
 
Lerry, why would you take the Ark exhaust off and install test pipes just because your Dad was going to use your FX?
 
maybe digging up a dead one.... but do these ART pipes bolt onto gen2 AWD.... i mean the video says thats whats on there.... just looking for a confirmation. thanks !!!
 
I have an 07 and I have Megan Resonated Cat deletes and Megan Y pipe, all else stock except for plenum spacer and intake, mine sounds great actually, folks think i have a V-8 in mine.
 
They don't work on 1st gen AWD due to transfer case but some people have modded them to fit the AWD G35 so I'm assuming the FX would be similar. The 2nd gen likely would need a similar modification. One of the branch resonators has to be shifted; any muffler shop can do it.
