2IS :: 2009 Lexus IS250

Umm, I wonder who woulda do that. It is parked in your own garage, right Pat. Excited to see what you have in mind for replacement. :ninja:

The replacement has arrived! Non-nav to nav swap in progress. Relatively straight forward with this aftermarket unit. Just trying to iron out some wrinkles in wiring the backup camera and nav while driving hack

Wow, is it that easy to swap non-nav to nav on the IS. I wish it was that easy on the FX! Wonder how much it cost ya.

Its actually an aftermarket unit that looks 99% like OEM with 90% of the functions. The two major annoyances are that temperature is displayed in Celsius, and fm frequencies are off so you will have to do some guessing to find your usual channels.

Cost is around $650 shipped. Wiring the unit is very simple, just plug in the new harness into the old one and reconnect. The only annoying part is figuring out wiring up the features such as back up camera, dvd, etc. I'm currently trying to figure out which wires need to be grounded in order for the back up camera to work.

Unfortunately nothing for the FX :( http://www.lsqbusiness.com/qqxx/enProduct.asp

Some new goodies the last few months including new Enkei Raijin's to replace the previous 19's which were not city friendly, and also a Lexus F-Sport Exhaust which replaced the Tanabe exhaust

Gloomy weather, plus a gloomy colored car isn't photoshoot friendly. Here's a quick pic for now!

Next mods... coilovers, BBK, and maybe a front lip!

Very nice Pat, the wheels really look good on the car.

Looking good there Pat. Is there anything you can do to the taillights and the reflectors. Make them a little less red would be perfect.

Thanks guys!

Andy - I agree. Thinking about doing a very light smoke to them. Ultimately would love to open them up and paint the insides black but leaving the lens red, so that when its reassembled it will have a dark red look. Unfortunately still looking for a second set to play with :-)
