265 or 285? I'm stuck

Im thinking about running 295’s on my 21’s aswell. Conti. Extreme contact dws06 to be exact. I did some research & it looks like theres not much of a difference in sidewall height. But it will be alot wider. My only worry was if wider would be worse for the snow or uneaven road surfaces. Heres a photo of the size comparison.

That was one of my major concerns as well! it was actually the reason why I chose 285 over 295, just to see if steering went downhill. Actually, everything improved! despite being wider with a lower sidewall these 285 Goodyears trashed the 265 Dunlops in every aspect. I'm convinced it's not the width but the quality of tire that is the key factor here. Must admit that the Goodyears are pure summer, I have a pure winter set as well.

Thanks for that info bro. Helps alot. I still really want to head towards the 295’s a/s to almost match the oem sidewall but would love to see more feed back. Another reason would be that the thicker sidewall would benefit not scratching my painted wheels through drive through carwashes aswell.
