20x8.5 Fitment on Akebono Front Brakes

Looking for a definitive answer on whether a 20x8.5 wheel with 38mm offset will clear the front Akebono FX50 brakes. Hoping to get away with no spacers. Thanks!
 
My enkei GTC 01 wheels fit on my FX50 with no problems. They were 8.5x20 with a 40 offset.
each make of wheel is different. The ones you are talking about may not fit. What make and model are you referring to, maybe someone can help you when you post that.
 
^^^ What he said. They probably will work, but may not depending on spoke design. His 8.5"s with +40 worked, but I have 20x10.5" and even with a +35 offset, it brushed the caliper because of the concave face and I had to use spacers.

So let us know what wheels you're referring to.

Send Bradlex a PM and ask him if he is running spacers, I remember he put FX50 akebenos on the front of his FX.
 
I need to find out if those akebono calipers will fit with my 20" Infiniti rims before I go and try to order them
 
So after having the akebono calipers sitting in the house I finally ordered the rotors pads and break lines from zebra555 @tuner-store. The question I have is will these akebono calipers fit with the the 20" deluxe wheels I have on my fx

Yeah they fit perfect with the akebono calipers. If the front the calipers were like 2mm thicker and I would have had to have spacers but they fit fine.
 
It's been awhile since I have posted on here. My 2010 FX35 has 120K on it now but I have been wanting to do this mod for awhile. Thanks for confirming!

I have been searching on eBay to source the parts as well and noticed Circle Infiniti sells a setup as well but it doesn't include rotors and pads. NEW OEM INFINITI FX50 SPORT AKEBONO FRONT & REAR CALIPER SET W/ HARDWARE

The first one was the deal I was going to go for at first but the shipping was a killer, I think now shipping its cheaper then when I looked at it. Plus with this package you get everything that you need. What sucks with the second package you put the link for from circle Infiniti that package used to be like $1300 back then when I ordered the calipers. When I got just the four calipers they were $1000 but now those alone cost $1300 with no hardware.
