20's VS. 22's pros/cons

lowered autumn copper fx with the 20" OZ would be mine. the side steps and front bull bar are made by romik. ordered them from Josh at burtmanindustries.com

Or a higher profile 20 =)

Here's my setup 20x9.5 (no lip) wrapped with 285/50/20.

if your not going to lower it, thats^^^^ a good look, will actually reduce the wheel gap slightly while increasing the sidewall:wheelgap ratio, resulting in visually lowering it :nerd (2): I think long ago will ran oversized 20's, always loved the look...

im going to stick with some no lip flush 20's right now my stock tread is 265/50/20 toyo proxies lots of life left so ill use those for now. ill only grab 22s if i get a screaming deal on em. so now the hunt for a nice flush chrome wheels begins, suggestions?

just don't jump on some lame looking 22's because it's a great deal :tonguey:

ya of course not. i am pretty open to wheel designs but i wont get something ugly because it is cheap. i orig wanted a deep dish wheel cause they are pretty bad ass looking but once i realized they do indeed make the rim look smaller than they really are i decided to scrap that idea. 22's plus new tires will run me quite a bit, even with a good deal. i got nice toyo proxies right now so i think i will stick with 20's. tons of choices out there so ill find something nice, and with money to spare since i didnt go 22.

what do u guys think of these wheels? both sets are a flush non lip wheel.

Those RVMs aren't my cup of tea, but everyone has their own opinions. If you really like them get them, but like TK said, don't jump right away because they're a good deal. Those two sets you showed are probably really heavy as hell and will most likely effect the performance of your car. Plus being so cheap in price, you could run into problems later like bending the rims, chrome flaking, etc.

they are really not rvm brand. for example the second set if u look at the center cap, or google the rim name "incubus nemesis" they are actual brands but they are sold as rvm at a lower rate.

wouldn't any chrome wheel be a bit on the heavier side anyways?

i miss the 22 with 35 profile, best handling ever, stock sucks at corners.. the best set up would be if you get coilovers and 22's on your fx.
Not a single soul mentioned this....

Because of the lower profile of the sidewalls on the 22s they are stiffer, making for better handling response as they so not roll over as much as 20s.

So 22s are not just asthetics, they can have a positive benefit in performance. Choose forged 22s to keep the weight down, or light casting 22s.

Never once did I have any problems with my 22x9.5s or my 20x10.5s. I actually preferred the 22s when it came to handling and the 20s for straight line speed.

U should buy my rims....you're basically stealing them from me at the price we discussed! :wink (2):
