2018 Jeep Trackhawk

Read about it last night. If it weren't a Jeep, it would be a mighty tempting vehicle! I guess as long as you only own it under warranty, it's by far the best performance suv you will be able to get in the price range.

I want to see it in "rhino" color, as I don't like it in the red.

If it was anything else other than Jeep it would cost $150k - $200k. This is at least somewhat affordable.

That would be a fun vehicle. I like it because I love the Hellcat engine, I have been in a Hellcat Challenger and they are beasts, that engine is a real performer. I would get one as an extra play toy if I had the cash.

Ditto. Had a Hellcat Challenger as a rental in Salt Lake City last July. Was a blast driving up to Olympic Village in it, but I disliked the floaty yacht feeling. Am curious to see how this Trackhawk does.

You can rent a hellcat? Was this with a regular rental company or exotic?

Rented it from a guy on Turo. Had a 911 Carerra S a few weeks prior, and I enjoyed driving that far more. I just didn't enjoy how the Challenger felt, which was very disconnected.

Along with my Infiniti I also have a 2008 Jeep SRT nothing crazy. It currently has 450+ horsepower and it's reliable and very quick. It's also been lowered so it handles surprisingly well for a larger vehicle. I wouldn't be so quick to judge Jeep products.

Sweet! Any photos or videos?

That's great, my experience owning a Grand Cherokee, and then seeing the experiences of those in a 3000 person jeep club I was a member of, has put me off from Jeep for the foreseeable future.

Like what?

Like what?
Transmission issues/failures within the first 15000 miles, power steering pump issues, a few with major engine failure in the first 10000-20000 miles, plethora of electrical/interior issues.

I had fuel pump issues, major issues with pistons, heater core leak that required a 16 hour dash pull to fix, threw a rod, etc, etc.

There's just no way in the world I would buy another Jeep anytime soon, especially now that fiat owns them.

Yeah, my buddy traded his Tundra for a 16 Jeep SRT8; quick, but came up with lots of mechanical issues.. it didn't last 5 months with him before he traded for an M6.

Funny cause this is a somewhat popular topic on the Macaan forums lol

Got passed by one of these the other day. Saw him behind me for a while, but figured it was at best an SRT and ignored him when he pulled out to pass me. Heard a deep growl, noticed the quad exhaust tips and then realized what it was.
