Hello,

I recently purchased an almost new 2017 QX70S (black), and want to do a few modifications to it. For one it sits way too high, and although I love the car, I miss the growl of my previous 2004 FX35. I hope to get good info to do a few things.

Agreed it sits too high. I too am going to be lowering it down. Probably going to bite the bullet and get some coilover instead of just replacing springs. I do have a Borla on my FX50 and LOVE it. I wish it was a little louder at idle but I really like it when I am accelerating. I hear a lot of people really like the ARK system too.

What brand of coilers will you be buying? As far as the exhaust you simply replaced your mufflers? Do you feel a difference?

I've been looking at websites like BC Racing, and Megan, and don't see coilovers for my 2017 QX70, can anyone give me a link or source?

I am probably going with BC. They make shocks specifically for the FX50s with the Active Sport Suspension. For the exhaust, it was already on the car when I bought it. It is a catback system (replaces the pipes from the x-pipe back). I still have the stock exhaust but havent attempted to put it on and off again to hear the difference.

I put H&R lowering springs in over the summer along with a Borla exhaust and 1" wheel spacers all around. I love the stance now and seems to be a little tighter around the curves. The Borla sounds awesome. Everything was very easy to install. Good luck with your decision.

Although I got conflicting answers regarding what fits and what does not, I was finally able to get good info on the BC Racing coilovers, and I ordered a set today.

Coilovers installed and adjusted, I like the look. My mechanic Donald had a pair of 20mm spacers, which I had installed on the rear, finished off the look. Now for a better sounding exhaust, any suggestions?

Hi Alex,

I did the H&R lowering springs. It drops her 1.3" in the front and 1.2" in the rear. I think it gave it a nice aggressive look with a tighter ride. I did notice a little extra wear on the front inside of the tires. I would recommend a wheel alignment after install.

How low did you drop it? What damping settings did you go with? And do they already come with a preset drop damp setting?
