2017 QX70 USB / MP3 Questions

I am thinking about getting a 2017 QX70 (upgrade from 2008 FX35). I have some questions about the USB port and playing MP3s. My phone is not fully supported so that's not an option.

It seems that I can plug a USB stick full of MP3s into the port inside the console. Then I should be able to browse through and select a song to play.

Is it possible to play all songs by a particular artist? Or all songs from a particular album?

Does the system support playlists? M3U or something else?

Will I be able to do typical things like skipping to the next song using the steering wheel controls?

If doing the above isn't possible with a USB stick full of songs, can I just plug an iPod into that port to get any/all of that functionality?

If there's a location for more info on this system, please point me to it. The manuals give minimum info, and the salesman didn't know anything about using a USB stick.

(Apologies if this has been answered but "mp3" and "usb" are too short for the search engine.)

You can skip and all that normal stuff. I don't do playlists, but I'm *not* sure it can. FYI, make sure you keep your USB stick to 16gb or less FAT32, neither my 64, nor my 32 work. The light flashes like it's reading the thumb drive, but after 35 minutes, the screen still says reading USB. Yes to the iPod question.

Thanks Pinstripe. I guess that after spending this much on a car, another $250 for an iPod is a drop in the bucket - but it's still half a payment.
