Love the car...having a problem with the driver's door. A year ago it got caught in high winds. We have had it in the shop at least 6 times since then trying to resolve the creaking noise when we open and shut the door.

First 4 times at a local body shop that finally gave up and refunded us the money we put into replacing hinges and stop pieces.

Last 2 at the local Nissan dealership who today after attempt #2 is now telling me that we need a whole new door?

Anybody else having this problem?? Seems crazy for a vehicle at this price point.

Well I can't help - but - I used to manage the part of a premium manufacturer where doors were robotically installed.

1.) Doors are sensitive. Never loosen the hinge itself..you'll never get it lined up.
2.) A slight flex in a door is detectable.
3.) Most factories check the door opening and closing pressure and sound for their quality control.

None of this helps you.
