2016 Infiniti QX70

When I went on the site to build one at least, after selecting some of the packages I could only select those colors.

Oh and you can only get the black/black interior with it, and it adds the premium package as well. Only other option would be if you want tech or not at that point.

And yes Akebono's were removed entirely as an option from the FX model like when the V8 was retired.

I swear Infiniti is trolling us right now.

A lot of the things infinti is doing is nonsense from the Q name change to only offering some colors for the sports package and totally getting rid of the 50 and no akebono bbk option.

I would not buy a car for that amount of money with no bbk out of factory. My friend bought a brand new buick regal GS that costs $20k-$30k and comes standard with a bbk.

I reached out to a couple of dealerships and the current lease rates are terrible. A 36 month lease is right around $800 per month (compared to $525 which is what we currently pay). The outgoing V8s were leasing for around that $800 mark per month. Even the dealerships are saying to hold off a couple of months. Just an FYI to any others who might be interested in picking up a 2015...

Anybody here take delivery yet of one of these? I am so super impressed with the slight details that now make this sport package QX70 so mean looking. We are definitely getting one of these next. I already asked (more like told) my wife! The only question is which color? Black Obsidian or Moonlight White?

Yes, the new sports package offers a black front grille, side vents, roof rails and 21" wheels. It's incredible! I like the black too especially since our 2010 was white.

I will go against the grain here and say I'm not a fan of the black out wheels. I thought they were supposed to be more of a dark chrome, which would look good to me. I have a '12 FX50 with a lease up early in 2015. Looks like I'm going to just buy it out as the price for a Sport with no real performance adds (no V-8, no brake upgrade) makes sense. I'm curious when the turbo v-6's will hit the infiniti lineup as that was one reason for the name change--the turbos would have lower engine displacement but higher HP output.

the white ones def need the aero kit from factory. just when i was thinking about powder coating my wheels, now they have oem black gloss 21's idk what to do now lol

did anyone notice the black mirrors on the white version?!

I sure hope the black rims are optional and not default. I realize everyone has their own tastes but I'm not a fan of black rims personally (although I have seem some that look fantastic in the forums here.

Also, the 5.0 liter has not been discontinued to my knowledge, it will just be a QX70 with a 5.0 badge on the side.

No kidding? Wow! Well I guess they've conceded the playing field. I wonder if they might have any plans to upgrade the V8 to be more competitive with the other "super suvs". Sorry to see the V8 go, it's such a great engine!

Am I the only V8 owner who slightly understands why Infiniti would scrap the current V8 engine? They still haven't come out with a TSB that completely fixes the choppy V8 engine in the 2009 FX50. Granted the ride is far from horrible but it's not smooth either. A few members said the latest TSB on their FX35's, which excluded the FX50's, completely smoothed the ride out for them, it's a shame the 50's didn't get the same love. Hopefully they are going back to the drawing board with the V8 and if we see it reemerge in the future it will be better than than the beast it already is, with the smooth performance we are paying the extra money to receive.

I owned my 09FX35 for a few years and now have owned my FX50s for over a year and I find it as smooth or smoother than my FX35 was. I love it and would purchase another. I don't understand what you mean by a choppy V8 engine.
