2015 QX70 ( 5.0L no more )

Wow v8 gone that bites hard. What's awesome though is with the sports package you can get with the fx50 21's and paddle shifters..pretty dope

Good thing is the price of the 21's will drop as well since they will be more readily avail

All the 5.0's I've seen for sale recently were over $70k. Yeah, no thanks. That's Ghibli territory at that point.

How long by law do they need to supply parts for the VK50 ? Being as 2014 is last model year for it.

Had to a Google Ghibli, hehe. Very nice sedan.

I would never buy a brand new 5.0, way too overpriced, only used. It totally makes sense why they getting rid of it. For 70k there is way better options IMO

What a shame, they are dropping the V8. After owning this FX50 I would have a very hard time going back to the V6.

As to the 21" wheels, they look fantastic but they are very heavy which can affect performance, and there are very few tires available for them.

Agree on the weight Wayne, and limited choices for rubber. I just haven't seen anything else that looks as good.

Lol @ the ghibli. Its not ugly, but it does not have any road presence at all.

If you are buying a maserati i feel it should be special, and the ghibli honestly looks bland, especially from the back.

I've seen a few around Vancouver recently, and I don't like it.

I agree its kinda sad about the 5.0. Maybe this furthur reinforces that they will drop the 5.6 into the next gen FX. or maybe move to FI for the higher output models.

Thank you for sharing your opinion.

The requirement is to keep parts available for 10 years. I don't suspect this will be a problem for a mfg as large as Infiniti. Parts become more challenging for smaller companies or motorcycles for some reason. I think there would be parts supply issues after 30 years or so. (my opinion)

They probably cleared out the 5.0's and are making way for the 5.6's possibly in the 2016's?

I think this may be the end of V8s in the FX/QX....Infiniti has sold twice as many V6 FXs as V8s over the years...may have to pick up a used 5.0 in the future as it will be rare

dont drop the v8 completely :(.. smaller displacement v8 plus turbos should do it
