2015 Q40 Passenger side kick panel phantom leak

I just noticed the passenger side floorboard is wet after a hard rain. This is the second Infiniti I’ve had this same issue with. 07g35 gave me the random electrical issues and no start after a hard rain. I tried to locate the source of the leak without success. After checking the sunroof drains and main wiring harness, windshield weather stripping, and the welds between the cabin and fender. I eventually sold the g35 “as is.” Bought the Q40 several years later, same damn leak! If anyone has dealt with this, please share your experience and a possible fix. I can’t believe in the eight years between the g35 and q40 this is still an issue and Infiniti hasn’t corrected it.
