2013 FX50 original owner

Hey all so I’m new here but not new to Infiniti or Nissan. My wife and I bought a 2013 FX50 new and still going strong at 130,000 miles. We buy cars and keep them, don’t have high roll over. The FX is white/black non sport.

I’ve been in the auto industry my whole life. Nissan guy for life. Have a p10 g20 that’s all caged tracked out, it’s well known in that world.

work wise I’m in the Porsche world so I’m not really in the newer Nissan/Infoniti

I have searched until the last page for a very odd issue we’re having. I had the radiator fan burn out caused by it staying on all the time. I replaced the fans with a new complete assembly however they stay on at speed 2 all the time. Atleast the high speed fan does. The IPDM says that the requested fan speed is 0 and the charging voltage will vary. From what I can tell it may need a new IPDM control unit. I’m about to take it to the dealer but figured I should join and post on here to see if anyone has any insight.

I can’t find it anywhere or even any of the local dealers.
I’m trying to find an independent shop that I could take the car to

I believe this is a rather common problem on the second gen, its the Cooling fan control module that controls the fan speed, should be under $100.
There are some documented cases of these going out in the infiniti fx/qx FB page.

I actually already replaced the modules and then the whole fan assembly with an OEM unit. My fan burned out probably 3 years ago and we didn’t notice.
