2012 Reviews ?

Hey all,

Haven't posted in a while, I have a 2010 FX35 , aside from some minor irks and issues I've had, I still love the car. So I have an opportunity to upgrade to 2012 FX35 at no cost (lease , dealer buy back). Anyone here actually has 2012 ? I'd be interested to read your comments/reviews on the new model refresh.

I'm new to this forum. This is actually my first post. I was in the same boat as you. My wife had a 2010, loved it, and was presented with the opportunity to get into a 2012 Limited Edition FX35 penalty free with a cheaper lease payment. I must say, this car is great. It seems smoother. Smoother ride (even with the 21's) and smoother shifting. It just seems so great. Plus there are several cool new features like auto-liftgate and adaptive xenon headlights. Plus the new grille looks great too.

There are deals going on because the 2013 is coming out this month. I bought a 2012 and if it was me I would wait for the 2013 FX37.

I knew this going into the dealership. I called several places though and nobody could confirm the arrival of the 2013 FX37. Not one dealership. They even insisted I was wrong, so I said "eh what the hell" and negotiated a great deal on my 2012 lease.

It's confirmed this month, I wish I would have waited for the fx37. I have the iridium special edition as well, it's not so special no more since they are offering the iridium blue as a standard color for the 2013 model :(

I know it's coming out but they won't have any leasing deals like this on the the new line. Basically I am getting a new car for nothing, and I am looking at these manitenance costs for my 2010 already: New Tires $1000 , Brake Service $600 , plus the car is already 2 years old and no bumper to bumper warranty. So it's pure economics I am looking at.

If that's the case, you should def take advantage of it

Ya I'm confused it's 2010 and u have no bumper to bumper warranty? Doesn't make sense since its only 2 years old

adaptive headlights isn't a new feature my 09 has it.

I want the power liftgate though :(

I do wonder how the new engine will be in FX37 , extra 25 ponies , will that make a difference on 4000lb car ? 0-60MPH is only about 1.5 sec faster with the V8 390HP on the FX50 so I doubt it. But I am wondering now if there will be any other new features in the new FX37

cmon 600 bucks for a brake job?

New (OEM) pads all around- under $280
if really needed resurface all around- $40
1/2 ratchet, tool set - $40
Your time- $360 vs $600

The new FX37 will get moving object detection (MOD) for the around view monitor.

There are limitations , true bumper to bumper is for first 12 months or 15K Miles
I assume you are talking about wear items that dealers replace as a courtesy within the first year (if they feel like it). Wiper blades, batteries, bulbs, rotors, etc.

:good:

Or is it a policy of Canadian dealers to stop warrantying specific items after that time/mileage?
