Good day all,

Just put down the deposit on a 2012 FX35 AWD in Malbec Black, she's got all of the toys. This is my first Infiniti, so I look forward to learning from the pros on this forum. I have been poking around the forum for a bit now and am quite impressed with the level of knowledge presented here. See you on the streets.

Where are you from in Ontario?
 
Welcome. I picked up a 2012 Malbec back in June, it is nice and quite different because as you know it changes from egg plant to black and everything in beween. What interior did you get? Mine has the Java interior which a lot of people like, I am ok with it but sometimes I think I might have preferred the graphite.
 
I got the graphite, would have loved the Java. My first choice would have been the obsidian black, but I am thinking the Malbec black will be just as good. It was corporate demo, so I got a nice deal. I had no idea what Malbec was, when the dealer told me what colour it was I said "Malbec, isn't that the planet that Alf came from?" My wife got it, but they did not.
 
My 2005 FX was Obsidian with gaphite and I went to the dealer with the full intention of sticking with the same combo. As I was doing the paperwork I found myself being drawn to the showroom floor model which was the Malbec w/ Java, which looked spectacular under the indoor lights. I placed the order for the Obsidian but changed my mind the next day and told the dealer I had to have the Malbec
