2011 FX35 Packages...

I'm in the market for a '11 FX35 and initially was planning on getting all the packages, Premium, Deluxe Touring, and Technology. After thinking about it, I am shying away from the Tech Package. It seems as if the Tech Package is mainly for cruising and long distance driving. Anyone with the Tech Package want to enlighten me as if I am correct and if its really worth the extra 3K? Most of my driving is Local, less than 30 miles, and living in the TriState area, CT to be exact, the traffic and highways are not the best to leave the Cruise control on. TIA

The tech package is what really makes the FX unlike any other car. It's not just the long distance. The most favorite thing about the car for my wife are the advanced seatbelts...the most favorite thing about the car for me are the adaptive headlights, side to side, up/down and both of these only come with tech package...when I get in a car that doesn't do all this I'm like why is the car not lighting up the road for me dammit! lol....both of those features are not "long distance" specific....and I can go on and on and on and on about features of the tech package and why you shouldn't classify it as long distance. The FCW already saved me once. The DCA is awesome in short-term driving.....ok enough rambling, but hey it's your choice, but I think it's silly to spend all this money on a great car and then try to save $3k and give up some of the best features a car can offer.

Thats the kind of input I was looking for, I appreciate it. It seems, at least here, most of the cars on the lot do not include the Tech Package.
 
If I wasn't so lazy and didn't just pick a car from the lot I would have ordered the tech package, but like I said, I was too lazy to wait :smug:
 
MTZ- just want to clarify that the adaptive headlights come with the sport package on the FX50, not the tech package. Sorry for any confusion.
