So i just purchased a full led light package for my 09 .. but after a quick inspection (its already getting cold here ..) im scared to just yank on the current light fixtures and hope for the best ..

Do you have any tips and tricks for how to remove the current lights (and more importantly the enclosures)

I keep thinking ill break a plastic tab and make a mess of the whole upgrade

The best tool for the job was a credit card. It slips perfectly in between with out damage. For the dome up front and rear side reading lights is just the cover that pops off. I believe rest of the lights the entire fixtures come out (is been awhile since i changed them).

I guess that woul make sense for the doors - what about the overhead dome lights?

And for the doors .. does it matter where i jam in the screwdriver? (top .. bottom .. left .. right)

Hi all, I ordered the lights the other day and will be installing them as soon as I get them. I was looking at all the current lights and enclosures and was wondering mostly about the lights for the rear license plate. What is the easiest way to get access to these? Do I have to go through the inside or is there a way to remove the cover from the outside. I noticed what look like plastic retainers on either end, but not sure if those give me access or not. They look like the kind that expand once the center plug is pushed down.
