2011-2012 FX50 Recall: faulty engine bolts

Gosh I hope this is not the start of Nissan trying to save $$ by using cheaper products similar to how Toyota got called out for it and so many American manufacturers were doing. It sure sounds like it though.

Can mods please correct the title to this thread. It only effects 2011-2012 FX50 ONLY models. FX35 owners are safe. You can find the bulletin here:

  • Infiniti is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign on certain Model Year 2011-2012 FX50 and 2012 M56 vehicles to replace the connector bolt for the engine oil cooler. This service will be performed at no charge for parts or labor.

What site did you find this information? Everywhere I've been it keeps saying "both v6 and v8 models are affected" or something to that effect and the NHTSA site doesn't distinguish between the 35 and 50, just says "FX". Thanks for the help!
