My 2010 FX50S has about 200k km on it. Last time I replaced the differential fluids was probably about 80k km ago. And I don't remember ever replacing the transmission fluid (maybe just once since I purchased the vehicle 10yrs ago).

There's no issues with the car, but I thought the fluids have to be replaced periodically as I do my brake fliod every couple of years and engine oil every 7k km.

I wanted to know if its advisable to replace all the fluids (power steering, front/rear differentials and transmission). A local shop's adviser told me not to replace the transmission as the fluid might be holding things together and could have adverse effects if replaced now.

Any advice regarding all of the above is appreciated.

For transmission fluid, you do not want to do a flush as this might cause damage (at least that's what I've heard). So the safe route is to do Drain and fill multiple times. I have taken my car to an infinity dealership and they drained and refilled the transmission fluids up to 3 times to make sure most of the fluid got replaced, I have done this when my car had about 60k miles on it and now I have 66k miles and the transmission is much more responsive and shifts feel firmer and more crisp.

I would also advice to replace differential, steering and brake fluids. if you have not replaced the engine Coolant in a while (5-7 years), I would also go ahead and replace that.
I hope this helps.
