Hey guys
Hate to bring up an old thread .
Just recieved my Morimoto Elite H8 Hid bulbs and I can't seem to get them to work . This is my first time installing . I wanted to know what plug exactly am I suppose to run to the bulb to the factory plug? I've tried the fog plug that connects to the ballast but that same cable has another plug on the end of it that I can't seem to figure out where that plug is suppose to connect to.

Also....
The cable is labeled H11 but the bulb is an H8. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Any help is appreciated

I don’t know much about this but I don’t think HID bulbs are plug and play with the Fog H11 setup. I have installed an LED to replace my fog bulbs and that was a plug and play setup. Not sure if someone else can chime in on this and maybe have more information.

Just to help a little, H8, H9 and H11 are interchangeable so you don't need to worry about that.

Every set of plug and play HID's I've installed have been the same. Plug from the car goes into the ballast, then from the ballast into the bulb.

Here is an image, hopefully that helps a little.

Thanks for the photo.
I have it connected just like this but I feel like the plug that connects to the oe wiring harness isn't making contact. Maybe because it's H11?

Try pushing harder? The size of the bulb is fine, dont worry about that. You can also try flipping the connector over, it may be on backwards.

Can you take a photo of the kit with the wires spread out. Does your kit comes with the relay harness that goes into the battery? Remember the relay harness needs one input either left or right OEM fog light whichever is closer to the Battery.

check this thread guy had the same issue.

Yeah the input is connected from the left by the passenger. I was wondering why it only had 1 on the harness. It comes with the relay harness also.

Got them to work. Found out the order to the OEM plug.
