2010 FX35 brake pads suggestions

I am due to change my front brake pads for the first time for my 2010 FX35. I have changed rear brake pads already at Infiniti dealer.

At a local tire shop, I was given a quote for changing to Akebono pads with Brembo rotors. They said it's better than the OEM. The price for Akebono pads is $160 per set, and $210 for each Brembo rotor. The total with labour and brake fluid flush and tax is around $900. These are Canadian price.

Are these Akebono/Brembo sets better and worth the difference?

I believe you'll not feel much improvement by simply changing/upgrading to aftermarket rotors and pads. Bigger calipers - this is what makes more stopping power. I would stick with OEM stuff, or go with StopTech rotors and Akebono pads, it will save you a bit $$$ comparing with Brembo rotors. Btw what dealer are you being serviced in GTA?
