Just wanted to share my 2010 FX35 AWD spark plugs change saga :)
My car is 2010 FX35 AWD and it is approaching 65k miles now
Recently changed oil, salon and engine filters so far so good , no complains regarding this car
On a last 400 miles trip MPG was ~22 on a WH which is not bad at all but anywhere I decided to change spark plugs and do some air intake clean up as well
Got one set from Amazon which looks like should match to my 2010 Infinit FX35 ( plugs plfr5a-11 ) but they DID NOT
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BYERBI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So with one plug from car ( they appear to be DENCO 14 mm (0.55 in) which is smaller than above Amazon set ) i went to Advanced Auto Parts
and got original OEM DENCO IRIDIUM FXE22HR11 set from them with 14mm plug's socket
Rest was plug and play and ~2H work just need to remove engine cover , both air intakes and 6 ignition coils
You will also need to remove both throttle bodies as there is no way to reach the last 2 ignition coils on both sides
Want to mention that i did similar work on BMW and MB but first time on Japanese engine and was really surprised how simple they build all joints without any bolts ,- very smart !
Except of messing with right spark plugs and 14MM spark plug small socket all the rest was peace of cake
I really enjoy this crossover for the last 10k miles and there is nothing wrong with these cars to fix ( in compare to German cars hehe ) and it is one of the best cars i ever own :)

P.S.
All DIY explained pretty well with pictures on online PDF ( see page EM-18 ) , use this time to clean throttle bodies and MAF sensors as well
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/FX/2010/ ( spark plugs under EM page )
I also used 18ft lb torque for spark plugs , for some reason this info is missing on PDF file
Enjoy !

Its too early to comment but i don't think it will be any major MPG changes
Expectation on a long run is 0.5-1 MPG max but time will tell more
Whatever manual says i can see on original plugs from car that 60k miles is the time when your plugs are due
LOL

sorry for dumb question guys, how much of OEM DENCO IRIDIUM FXE22HR11 do I need? 4 or 6?
Thanks!

Lol, you have a v6 so you will need 6. Fx50 will need 8. Also checkout Rock Auto for OEM pregapped Denso spark plugs for Infinitis.

to continue with MPG saga

I recently changed transmission fluid on 67k miles at Infiniti of Naperville ( near Chicago ) which was relativity cheap ( ~130$ )
2 surprises :
1. There is no transmission filter to be changed as it is internal for the life of transmission ( in compare to BMW or MB you need to change filter together with transmission fluid )
2. My average MPG on a way back ( ~150 miles ) was 23.5 MPG doing 75-80 MPH where my best numbers before was 22-22.5 MPG max

So the fresh transmission fluid has positive affect as well on a cas consumption comrades
