Let's see some 2nd gen mileages. I think I might be the winner here putting over 20k miles in the last year and now having just broken 50k. I love driving mine all the time for work, trips, vacations, etc. Life is too short to not enjoy it. What's your 2nd gen mileage?

Considering that it's been 8 - 9 years for the 2nd generation, there should be a lot of miles out there. Please share and any issues that you might have had along the way.

At what km did you replace it? What prompted the replacement? and might I ask what was the cost?

It was around 170,000 km when they were replaced. Its was happens when you give the car to the wife as a daily driver :( - replaced due to knock sound every time going over the slightest bump.

Cost wise was decent, $950 CAD - ordered off Monkeywrench. That included the rear shocks, the front struts (reused factory springs) as well as sway bar links for all four corners.

Oh I forgot to add - there was an issue in the past that gave me a headache. It was the fuel cap -the light used to come on every couple of months. But it went away on its own - haven't seen it in over a year. Besides that - no real issues.

I was thinking of going with coilovers, but to the winters in Canada - not very viable especially in Alberta.

Thats a lot of good information. I hear a knock/click sound over uneven road (like when driving over the pavement at the entrance of a parking lot which is sometimes banked as well). I've spent enough on diagnostics with 5 different mechanics and 2 dealers - no one can figure it out lol So I thought f**k it I'll just get coilovers but we share the same winter concerns (Toronto). I'd really like to get OE to (partially at least) get that original comfy feeling but I have to sell a liver. And for all the after market parts to be honest I'm not sure about the quality of the ride compared to OE - maybe someone can enlighten me.

After the strut and shock replacement, the ride feels great. I got monroe shocks and kyb struts- that's pretty close to oe specs. If you hear the clicking noise - that's most likely due to the sway bar links being worn out. I had that issue as well. Monkeywrench is a great place to order from especially if you are located on the east side. They have random proce reductions on everything. I switched out my rear shocks and sway bar links on my acura MDX just a couple of weeks ago for $250cad. Didn't go the oe electronic shock option- would have cost over $2k. Just threw in a resistor to truck the ECU. Anyways. It's an awesome site if you're in Canada
