2009 FX and navigation update

has anyone done a navigation update on their 2009? I have a 2009 FX50S and a 2012 M Sport and my M has a much better looking navigation map. If I do an update on my 2009...will it enhance the graphics any? The maps on my 2009 look dated and I am hoping that the appearance is enhanced some.

No it will not enhance the map quality. It will just add street updates and what not.

The reason your M has better quality is because they actually updated the physical screen itself for 2010+ Infiniti models. 2009 models had the lower resolution screen unfortunately.
 
I was hoping that the mapping would look more refined. The resolution is only a part of the issue that I have with the Navigation I my FX

Most GPS units update with little to no software changes when you upgrade your maps, even with the bigger GPS companies like Garmin.
