Rain Sensing Wiper Operation (If So Equipped)

SERVICE INFORMATION The vehicles listed in this bulletin may be equipped with the Rain-Sensing Auto Wiper system. - A rain sensor is located on the windshield, if equipped with the technology package. - With this system, when the wiper lever is pushed down to the intermittent(INT) position, the wipers will operate when the rain sensor detects rain. NOTE - The wipers may operate unexpectedly when dirt, fingerprints, oil film, or insects are located on or around the sensor, or when exhaust gas or moisture affect the rain sensor. If a customer states the wipers do not work when the wiper lever is pushed down to the intermittent (INT) position, make sure the customer is familiar with the above information.
