2009-2012 FX35/50 Shift Responsiveness Issues (New 7 Speed Fix Finally Out!!)

the worst part was downshifting around 40mph and braking at the same time

Glad to see they are finally addressing the issue properly. Thanks for posting the info!

I have yet to experience the issue with my 2010 and I definitely had a problem with my 2009.

same here but so far the dealer i go to compliment on the headlights and taillights, to a point where they ask if the headlights came with the fx when i bout it :.rofl:
agreed, whenever I bring mine in for service they always compliment me about the headlights, tail lights and front lip. They're all in awwwww when they see it. I'm like you guys can easily order the lip for like half the cost and probably sell double the FX's you do now .. haha

Called my SA today and this TSB (ITB) is not showing up in their system yet. He will call me as soon as the software is available. The dealer is Tim Dahle Infiniti in Murray, UT if anyone cares. With that said, there are literally two or three FX's here in the SLC area That I have seen.
I called my local dealer also and they knew nothing about it, they said they will give me a call Thursday to ask a tech which knows more about TSB updates
I searched online for this TSB and couldn't find it. It's hard to convince a dealer that it's legitimate without any reference to a document, invoice, or website.
I looked everywhere online too and couldn't find anything on it to prove to the dealer that it even exists. We all wonder where Aaron comes out with this stuff lol

I'm not sure if I would be comfortable having service done by a dealer that doesn't know what an oem FX looks like....

TapaTalkin'

The first time i took her there i gave em hell to be sure nothing would be done wrong as well as not to wash her at all i just don't trust the their "car wash".

hence why the JX has no complaints from a CVT.... no harsh shifting feel lol

is this the engineers way of handling the 7-speed trans problems? ;)

notice how Aaron is dodging our question about what his source is and what proof he has. ;) hehe just giving u a hard time aaron

Not dodging I just prefer to keep my sources on the down low. But I can tell you this bulletin is legit just like all the other bulletins I provide you guys :wink (2):

I think the JX got the CVT not because of the 7 speed but to get better gas mileage and a shiftless smooth ride. Most people buying the JX won't care if about having an AT tranny. It's more of a luxury family mover. Not saying all buyers have this attitude towards it though, but most will. In the past few months of it's release I've seen a white and silver one out on the road and both were soccer moms lol.

You sound like Gizmodo or those other secret apple sources that report what they believe to be facts based on their chinese distribution sources of the next iPhone, iPad, etc. hehe

Good to see the G37 guys have an update available to them too.

I see no point in getting the update done for my FX right now because I'm waiting on my next oil change to get it done. I also have a few other things that I need them to look at. Don't really feel like running over there twice lol....

There is no new software update TSB for the transmission. I called my local dealer today and they confirmed that there is nothing new.
Also in the above link I provided the only person that said there was an update was some guy "mikeb***". I think you were provided some wrong information for once :what:

what is your source aaron? do you have an official link we can use with the dealers?

I got this TSB done last week at Metro infiniti. My complaint was that in D mode it acted as if it was in DS mode and would downshift and rev-match at times. Papers say the ECM was updated per this TSB. The real difference i noticed, besides no more match-revving in D mode, was the change in responsiveness in D mode. Before while on the freeway, if i wanted to change lanes and pass someone in a hurry, the car would hesitate and lag giving me no momentum to pass thus i would have to switch to DS mode if i anticipated a quick lane change. Now, that's not the case. I can pass and speed up in D mode without hesitation. Use to use DS a lot to enter the freeway or pass, since the update i havent used it much.

Anyone else notice this?
