2008 FX35
I just replaced my wife's brakes on her 2008 FX35. The new akebono brakes work great. However, I was looking at them the other day and noticed that I failed to insert that little clip into the brake pad arm. What does this do, and do I need to take them apart and insert those clios properly?

I'm pretty sure it not going effects braking, but being the nit picking me... remove 5 studs & the bottom caliper bolt, flip the caliper up to correct is a must to...just me.

Yeah, I am pretty anal too. I'll install the clips correctly. I was just curious to know what the function was... maybe it keeps the pad floating?
