We recently picked up a 2008 EX35 w/22k miles to replace my wife's FX35. It seems that a known issue is that the doors covering the mirrors on the sun visors tend to snap off. I've got a pair of new sun visors in hand, but am having a heck of a time getting the originals removed.
There are 2 screws which are holding the visors in place, and a trim cap covers the screw location. I don't want to apply much more force to removing the cap as I don't want to do any damage. Anyone got a tip on how to get the caps off?
I spoke with an Infiniti parts dept gal and she gave me a suggestion (push backward on the cap while trying to fit something under one of the locking tabs), didn't work for me.
Thanks in advance,
-John
