im planning on buying a 07 fx35. has black roof racks. i found a 06 fx45 with silver roof rails. will they swap easy? is there a place i can buy oem cross rails to go with the silver?

The rails are not an easy swap. You will have to remove the headliner within the fx to get at the mounting screws. The cross rails are any swap and can be found used online on ebay or new on various sites.

no doc, the rails are easily swapped, just pop the end caps off & 4 screws per side, easy. only have to go into the headliner if you need to completely remove the mounting brackets to delete the rails, but to just switch rails is easy.
