All the bells and whistles that you could ever want and looks OEM. Rear view camera, bluetooth, navigation, etc...

This is what I originally wanted to do and definitely wanted the OEM look, but the Kenwood until blends very well with the car and you can't really tell it's aftermarket (until the screen flips out). Even then, the screen can be moved like 3 inches forward and back and the screen tilted anyway you like -- all done on the touch screen and it has a memory so goes to that set position.

It really is great because it sits higher too so you don't have to look that far down for the navigation.

Many have done the Dynavin and you can google it and it worked out well. You can even put whatever nav software via SD card.

I am picky and my wife is even more -- and this Kenwood is sweet.

windshield was not tinted, the windows are 35%, legal limit in TX, or atleast from what i was told:tup:

Illinois is 35% all around too, but OEM has a a 80% or 90% tint! I thought it was clear...

So 80%*30% = .28%, which is below the +/-5% variance for the law in Illinois, and now cops have tint meters!

So I have to get at most 43.75% tint, so I'm going to get 50% all around. Maybe 50% front and 35% rear...

Ed, I find that Chicago cops really don't care about window tint (knocking on wood), at least not so much on a luxury car. Have you been hassled in the past..

Never, but also never had tints. You have a nice hook-up though...=)

Really? I guess mine is not so much of a luxury car then. Beside, I got a bogus window tint ticket at a location that I wasn't even there on that day. I have a contest in person scheduled on the second week of June. I have 35% on my front now. I'm going to take them down and put 50% on to avoid any more of this type of ticket.

So glad you posted this. I've read other posts in Chicago that cops just write you tickets when your car is parked, and they just eye ball it.

35% +/- 5% is the limit for the front, (unless you have less than 35%, you have to have 50%, below 30%, you cannot have ANY front tint).

I really just don't want any issues or headaches for the wife -- so going to get the lightest in the front now, like 80% and 50% in the rear.

Tint for me is more for the little one.

50% in there rear is a bit too light. I would go 35% in the rear and 50% front.

Tint tickets are around $250 now...its crazy

Very nice. I have a 2010 without nav. Can I install the Kna-G610 and use it with the existing screen?

Ah, you're talking about your FX!

If you have a color screen, you can do it.

Just how much are you willing to pay though, this cost like $1,600 at the dealership, installed.

You should check out DR 2K's install, I like his a lot.

Don't do this combo, you will regret it...80% transmission is nothing... If you really want to be safe then do 50% all around or 40% all around; match them... Also, have your tint guy write a work order with date/car/etc with the % tint installed for proof.

Did you ever take a pic of your car without the tints? If so, you can always say that you have rear tints and clear fronts... I got a fix it ticket once about 10 yrs ago and had to go to court; cop was an ass.. Went up to the judge and said I removed them and here's a pic for proof; and if he wanted to he can come with me to the parking lot to see for himself... he never called my bluff

haha dim sum in pheonix?! we gotta go
Yum yum dim sum! Next time, you guys need to eat more.. everybody was "full" so quickly, you guys on diets?

I do have pic of the car without tint, but to avoid any possible hassle in the future, I have decided to put up 50% tint and stay legal. I go in to the city quite a bit and park on the street too.

If you park on the streets often then yes.. You can use my garage spot, how's $50 a day sound ? I've got 18% in the front, but the only time my car parks outside in the city is when we have dinner... most meter maids are off after 7 pm..

$50? Does that include shuttle service to & from Chinatown from your garage? :tongue (2):
