After adding GTR's (20x10.5 w/295/45/20 and w/20x9.5 265/50/20) with a 15mm spacer to my 2005, we updated the suspension with BC Coilovers.

It looks great, but the rears rub going up steep driveways or semi-deep bumps while driving on the roads in socal. I'm good with stock height in the rear and lowering the front by 1/2 inch, but it looks like the we only have a few threads left on the rear to lift it higher. Also, the rears feel less firm than the fronts.

My concern is resolving the current rubbing issue and the rubbing issue if the coilovers "settle".

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I Have BC'S on mine and had the same issue. The problem is the BC SET up is too soft in the rear. It comes with 12k rear springs and they are just not strong enough, so I contacted BC and told them the issue , set pictures etc and they sent me spring perch adapters and 18k springs and I have to say it's way better, not as much bounch, sag, etc. The only difference is yougive up 30mm of upward travel. So means y I u can raise it as high however I didn't care I didn't buy coil overs to raise it. Call their tech line and let them know the issue they should help.

I've never liked how soft and bouncy the rear BC set are. Even with the hardest setting on the shock. It's still too soft for my taste. Do you know if I can you purchase the 18k springs you mentioned separately?

Thank you in advance.

We can get them for you. PM me for more details.

I know most on here have 12Kg rears....anyone else feel that is too soft? Will be getting a set in the near future and wondering if I should go up
to 14 or 16. While going 10Kg in the front...or maybe go 12kg? Any opinions appreciated...

I contacted BC racing to inquire about stiffer springs for the rear end. Service Rep recommended 14K but no more than 16K from the current 12K springs. Any more stiffer and you will need to purchase new revalved shocks to match the much higher spring rates.

Just curious. Did you have to upgrade your shocks too? I

Thanks.
