I've had my FX since '05 and have had it serviced by various mechanics over the years. Have 120k miles. Only major service was a trans rebuild 2 yrs ago. After buying a new car we decided to make the FX a maintenance / repair learning opportunity for my son and I. Installed new front wheel hubs last month. Car needs front end and suspension maintanence i.e. ball joints, bushings, and struts etc. Also looking to add bluetooth to audio. So I need advice on parts and DIY for those issues.

Welcome to the forum Jake. Hopefully by now you have discovered this sub forum with several DIY writeups: FX (03-08) - Write-Ups

As for parts, I'm a novice on here, but I have bought parts on ebay, amazon and locally from dealership. When researching the parts & part number a good online resource is:
INFINITI Parts Online | INFINITI Parts & Accessories Online

Good luck in your journey.

Ive read about bluetooth/audio for our cars everywhere possible. I found this device on a G35 forum. Its got mostly great reviews, and is the best solution I have found. If you're going to replace the outer tie rods on the front, you might as well replace the inner tie rods while you're in there (the inner tie rods are connected to the outer), because they're cheap enough. Also, the strut mount bearings should be replaced when you replace the struts; common consensus here is to buy the bearings from the dealership (Nissan or Infiniti will have them). @kahlilj sent you a link to the best place for FX35 write-ups on the internet. Also, Infinitipartsdeal.com is a great site I use often, as are RockAuto.com and partsgeek.com. I've posted a screenshot of the bluetooth streaming device; I found the BT device is available on amazon at half the MSRP. If you read the reviews, you'll see a few reviewers have this in their FX35's. Ill create a DIY and a review when I get mine.
Moderators, if I need to modify this picture, please let me know. Cheers
