2004 Infiniti FX45

Thanks. I will be added a +06 intake manifold, Injen Intake, Some lighter than factory weight 20' inch wheels for performance or may go with 22' inch for a better look, replacing shocks for new KYB shocks, and upgrade the Bose Sub. Believe it or not, the Bose system actually has a great mid range sound and crisp highs. The low end bass response is decent for the size woofers in the trunk mounted box, but a single 10' subwoofer would compliment the rest of the speakers better. Also, I may add a dark burl wood grain kit to the interior because I noticed that too many cars now have the brushed aluminum look now.

Wow, nice list there. I totally agree with your observation with the Bose. FX45Chicago, added a 10" sub and a mono amp and that made a whole lot, I mean a whole lot improvement. I really think, that is all it needed. Not sure about the stick on dash kit though. It just not my cup of tea, but if it make you happy, then go for it. I also seen on FX with Oak kit. It's nice, but the added layer just doesn't cut it for me.

I agree with your apprehension about using the stick-on wood grain kits. The last time I used one was on my pewter colored 1999 Toyota Camry XLE V6 back in 2001. I loved that car. It had rims, dropped suspension, bass for days, magnaflow exhaust and TRD badges all over it.:rotfl: The wood kit made my Camry's interior look 1000 times better than it was with the factory only wood grain trim. I had people saying my Camry looked like a Lexus on the inside, but the kit only lasted about three years before I had to glue the kit pieces back on. I think I may have a shop around here use 3M vinyl with wood patterns to cover my factory trim on the FX. I know a shop that does a great job here, but it will costs more than a pre-made wood kit.

You have to explain what you did with the air filter

Mines is a 2005 same color! Any exhaust ideas. I have rattle right now

I still have the factory airbox. I just replaced the paper filter with a K&N air filter and removed the front air duct and the top front port off the air box. So basically the factory airbox is running like a short ram air intake. Not the best performance air intake, but my FX seems to like the mod and it was cheap. I would buy the Stillen dual exhaust system for your FX. That is what I will buy as soon as I can save up $1200 to buy it and have it installed.

I have the Stillen exhaust and its nice, but if you are looking for something more aggressive sounding and louder, Stillen may not be for you. That's the only downside I don't like.

Did you notice an increase in horsepower and torque with the Stillen exhaust? It looks like the Stillen will remove the factory bottleneck and free up some ponies because it is a true dual exhaust system compared to the factory setup.

I agree with AeroBFA - been running the Stillen Cat Back true Dual since 07 ....... it is very subdued .... even under WOT ...... just made some changes to the exhaust now I am in love with it .... kept the Stillen Double Y; however, I deleted the resonators ..... added dual Flowmaster Super 44's and kept the Stillen Tips .....

Makes my heart skip a beat when I crank it up and get on it .......
unique burble burble sounds make my palms sweat!!!!
