2004 Infiniti fx35, How Many Miles?

Hey guys, new to the forum and am looking at buying a 2004 Infiniti rwd. It is clean and they are asking a fair price so there is a good chance that I may purchase it. The one problem though, is that I am wondering how many miles you guys are getting before the transmission and engine start to go. This car has 93,000 miles. I will maintain it well, and would hope to get 200,000+ miles from the car. Is it possible?
Any help is appreciated!

Yes, its very possible when maintained well. Many FX owners are well over 150+ miles and a few are into 200+ territory with no major issues. If its an Infiniti dealer have them pull the history of the car if possible or take it to a dealer to check it's history to start.

The FX will last very long but that all depends on how you treat and maintain it.

I've got 106k on FX45. Had front axle seal go and both front wheel bearings. Nothing out of the ordinary. Interior leather sucks. My Dodge Caravan has nicer leather than FX. Something to watch and maintain like crazy I suppose.

I'm at 166k on 03fx. Rea Wheel bearings, alternator, plugs, starter, have been changed in 3-4years. Pretty reliable car in my opinion

Well, I bought the car today so I am hoping it will last. Just going to maintain it the best I can and hope nothing goes wrong. From the sounds of it I should do well though.

My FX is a 2003 with 76k and the interior is in brand new shape, no rips, burns, or cracked leather. Never had major issues but like I said you have to take care of it if you expect the same in return.

Thanks for the welcome and the info guys. Definitely excited to be part of the forum and start modding. Definitely looking forward to picking up some good tricks and tips about the car. It's my first too and I saved for a long time to buy it. Can't wait to really make it mine!

Congrats on your new ride!! If the previous owner was good to it, and you will keep it up, then you'll be fine. Mine is currently slowly reaching 97K and no issues.

Mine is an 04 w/ 100,800 miles on it and still runs great. Only issues so far .....
front wheel bearings, battery, passenger door lock actuator, oil cooler o ring leak.

All the information is great, thanks. This is definitely reassuring to me. I now know I made the correct choice!

I sold my 04 when it had 66k. No issues whatsoever. All I did was the regular fluid changes and brakes, and tires ;)

My 06 FX is struggling to pass 50K. I'm really looking forward to the 200K before the gas price going to the sky that every car has a 30mpg...

I've got 117K miles on a 2003 FX45 and it runs like new. Only problem in 10 years was a rear hatch actuator that went bad after warranty expired. Mine has burned about 1/2 a quart of oil every 3k-4k miles since new which is fairly normal on these.
