2004 FX35 tech and sport package didn't come with subwoofer?

Hello all. I purchased a 2004 FX35 with the tech and sport packages in 2010 and I always felt like the stereo was great, except there was literally no bass. While randomly searching online today I found out that the stock BOSE system is supposed to come with a subwoofer in the spare tire location. My car doesn't have this. My question is, would it be possible that this wasn't fitted from the factory, or is it more likely that someone removed it? Also, what do I need for hardware to install a new or used unit that I can find on ebay or equivalent? I'm not an audiophile, so I think the stock sub would be fine for my needs and I don't want to sacrifice luggage space with a box.
 
No someone must have removed it. Check around in that area for a harness or a few wires, if you can locate that, then you can always just buy an OEM sub, and toss it in there.

I'm sure a few members on here who have upgraded to aftermarket subs can sell you their OEM ones.

Hell I can probably sell you mine in a couple months when I go aftermarket.
 
Hmm, I dont think its possible that the vehicle didn't come with subwoofer from the factory, Im pretty its standard in all fx vehicles. Also, how is your spare tire secured down? The subwoofer screws down and kind of holds the spare tire in place.
