Wassup guys, just did my oil change service at infiniti they found, that theirs a leak in the oil cooler and need to change the o rings but charging a grip they want $200, does anyone know how to change this or a DIY write up, and is possible or let dealer do it?

i know so did i but i panicked becuase it was a $300 charge. these dealerships today know how to get you. My car is up on the rack for oil change, and they want to charge 300 still.

its a new dealership, and had high hopes with them because i hate all the other ones, now i cant go back their becuase their gonna be like hes a cheap wheel n deal customer, great.

you got a torque wrench andy? sunday afternoon your garage lets change o rings ill do all the work just torque it hehe.

at a 137,000 miles i finally had to replace my o-ring today along with my cam seal, i was getting drips of oil in my garage from both of these 2 areas all within the same week. the parts were around $116, & labor was like $300. it wasnt a big deal but the labor on the cam seal/gasket replacement is heavy, supposidely theres 2 of them, so i would assume that my other one is near replacement.

Both of these are wait till it happens. There's not a regular maintenance for these items. I have seen lately that at approx 100k miles, the oil cooler gasket seems to go.

It's only $4 at a Nissan dealership or $10 at the high end Infiniti dealership ( same exact part) and takes 20 minutes to replace.
