2004 FX35 cruise control disengages

My 04 FX35 will have cruise control for maybe a minute or two and it disengages. Ive checked other threads but i havent found anything similar to what is happening. the cruise control box upfront is clean. when it disengages thiers both a green and yellow cruise control light turns on and i believe it beeps a few times.
 
My '03 did the same thing. It dropped out while I was crusing on the free way so I would have to pull over, shut off the engine, re start, and then it would work again for 5 minutes or so. The dealer replaced a module under warranty at the time ( a couple of years ago) which fixed it permanently. I can imagine what it would cost not covered under warranty.
