Hey there - My Bose system has started acting strange. After starting the car, the stereo plays for a minute or so, and then the sound cuts off for about 15 seconds. When sound returns, there is usually a "thump" sound from subwoofer. The happened yesterday for a couple minutes, after driving for 15 minutes or so. Any advice?

Hmm, my guess that would be next. The sub amp is build into the sub though. May need to buy the whole sub from ebay.

But if it's just the sub amp, would it cause the stereo to cut out? The sub is separate from the rest of the system, there's just that connector that supplies power and signal to the unit. OP, have you unplugged the sub and seen if your stereo still cuts out? Or have you checked the amplifier which is in the rear passenger corner? Maybe some water leaked in or wires are damaged.

There is one plug for the sub/amp. Also there is a seperate amp for the interior speakers. Could be either the the interior speaker amp or the headunit itself might be going bad. If you unplug the sub and the interior speakers go out, interior speaker amp prob cutting out when it gets warm/hot. If the sub and interior speakers go out at the same time. Most likely your head unit.
