Just out of curiosity.. is anyone capable of doing this? I remember a person asking a small fee back in org. that lives in S. CA. I want to try this out since there is a good amount of hype about this mod. pm me or lead me to the right person that can do this for me. Thanks!

Anybody with uprev cipher can do it, rookie I am sure can do it...possibly free.

We need a tool rental program on iS

Wasnt Eg3 doing this?

Here it is......

Would like to know if i can or should advance the timing with my already installed stillen blower. Would it give more torgue or wouls it affect the split second box already installed in my FX.

Any info would be great.

Im actually interested also. I sent a PM to Eg3 already this morning:wink:

Guys I'll probably put it up for sale instead of the loan program. Don't have much time to run it anymore due to work (was a student last year).. Anyone interested can PM me. I got it for $300 used & it'll be under a usual :iS: discount when up for sale.. If it doesn't go here, I'll try Z-G forums..

No, do not mess with the timing with the stillen blower, unless you get it professionally tuned.

That's this weekend, I was going to but some stuff came up. Maybe the one at the end of the month.

So can/will a dealer do this? Is this a factory designed option built into the software or some kind of "trick"? I always use 93 octane anyway, so this would be a nice mod.

I spoke to a Infiniti dealer mechanic I know. I mentioned this and while he chuckled at the hope of a few HP, he said he would do it when I come in next week. I'll let you know.

PS: I still don't understand the reason behind this. I know what more timing does, but I don't get why Infiniti has a +2 degrees option? I like it, but why would they allow it?

Hi guys, after the +2 timing mod, I've been losing MPG.......my driving habits are still the same, drive like a granny going very light on the gas pedal....

Do I have to get the ECU tuned or something?

I believe it is the different fuel grade available in different region. They have to choose an overall safe timing suitable for all different fuel grade, so they will not end up replacing the new engine every year for warranty.

I believe ECU tuning is not necessary. With the +2 timing, your overall MPG will go lower a bit. That's the sacrifices for additional few horses.
