Hi there,
04 fx45.
I have rotor pros in the fronts and whenever I come to a complete stop or release the brake pedal slowly, I can hear the brakes grind or make some rough friction noise. The pads and rotors are at 90% life. I've put a few thousand miles since installing them. Right before the car stops, it sounds rough and just feels like the brakes are hitting hard even though im gradually braking. Then when im ready to go again, I release slowly as my car inches forward the similar noise of friction engages until I hit throttle and release brakes thats when the noise is gone.
This noise is not heard when applying brakes during normal operating speeds. It only occurs in the last few strides as my car comes to a stop and when I release the brake pedal to move again. I am frustrated I cannot every have a smooth stop. everytime I see a red light and my car stops its just like THUD.
I just had my calipers replaced and a full inspection. Nothing wrong. Can someone tell me if this is normal? on my RSX there is 0 noise when braking or releasing brake pedal from a stop even if I am inching.
Secondly, this is not brake related but every now and then I make a slow sharp turn over a bump or go over a speed bump or jolt my car to the side abruptly I can hear a CLUNK noise. It clunks once and its gone. No noise when driving straight or turning. The CLUNK noise happens on the passenger side. It is very intermittent and not consistent at all. Any ideas? Thanks!
