1st. Gen and 2ed Gen GTSPEC Strut Tower Bar Group Buy!

Hey 2ed Gen guys!

I just got a phone call, and I can get 4 2ed Gen Strut Tower Bars. So there are a couple of options, We can wait tell we get 10 guys for the group buy so I can give the group buy price, or I can get 4 orders and get them shipped out ASAP.

The price would be $215.00 Shipped in The US

Just wanted to toss that out there. These are not coming from GTSPEC, they are from my supplier and dropped shipped right to you.

If a :iS: member purchases a tower bar from you and you haven't confirmed of the fit and indeed it doesn't fit perfectly, can one of our members return the bar back to you to for a full refund including shipping and handling costs?

This questions is for both 1st and 2nd gens.

If its a fitment problem, then yes. GTSPEC has a nice warranty. So I would just do a warranty with them. :)

I'll take one def, I don't think we will get 10 people for a group buy anytime soon
 
how does the warranty work? If it's not an actual defect of the product, but just doesn't fit right, will GTspec return $215 to the member?

Return & Exchange Policy Information


  • Return for exchange or refund will be allowed only within 7 calendar days from the date of receipt.
  • Return Authorization Number must be issued before any return can be made. We will NOT accept any return without this number. Please write this number clearly on the outside of the return package and tag the item(s) inside with invoice number.
  • All authorized return merchandise must be unused and in its original seal able package. No return or exchange on merchandise that shows signs of having been installed, mounted, scratched or defaced will be allowed.'
  • GTSPEC must receive all returns within 14 calendar days after the return authorization number has been issued. The return authorization number does not imply a replacement, but only that GTSPEC will inspect the merchandise based on your claim.
  • Return must be sent freight prepaid and insured by you. Original shipping and handling charge is nonrefundable. A photocopy of your invoice showing the invoice number must accompany your return along with the completed return request form.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer/installer to verify the correctness of size and application of the part before installation.
  • All approved refund will be paid by company check, credit card credit or account credit all to be determined by GTSPEC.
  • No cancellation, refund or exchange on special order item or custom order item will be allowed. All approved refund item will be charge 20% for restocking and service fee. There will be no refund for Group buy participant.
  • No refund or exchange on order for wheels. All wheels order are consider special order items.

Damage Claims:
  • All merchandises are packed carefully and correctly utilizing a triple check method before it leaves GTSPEC.
  • All claims for damage or loss to your shipment must be made with the carrier within 48 hours. Damaged shipment should be checked in the presence of the carrier. Please keep all shipment cartons and packing material for carrier inspection.
  • Claims for shortage of items must be made within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Buyer must inspect the packaging and the products carefully upon receiving them, then accept the shipment and notate any damages and irregularities such as crushed, torn, punctured or broken parts on both the packaging and the products, on the freight bill or receipt at the driver's presence. Buyer must retain all cartons, packing materials, and damaged products for the carrier's damage inspector to inspect. Do not refuse shipment or return it without approval, because the buyer's right to make a damage claim may be denied. A signed receipt without any notation indemnified the carrier as well as GTSPEC from any further damage claim. Discovery of damages after a clear delivery becomes the responsibility of the customer. All damages must be notified to carrier and GTSPEC within 24 hours.

Please refrain from pointing members to use manufacturer warranty when asked about your refund policy in the future. This can be misleading. Thank you.

No refund for group buy, but Gen 2 won't fall into that so...

That is right, if its a group buy, the 1st. gen, no refunds, but still have the warranty and all that good stuff. For the 2ed gen, its like what smijus said. Sorry about any confusion

Thanks...yes, I PM'd this to Koso before your post. I am still waiting for his response to clear this up for our members.
 
I was told By KOSO that the 1st GEN buyers might have to wait 60-90 days before getting the strut brace, I will NOT be happy if this is true, And truly hope we get what we have all PAID for Delivered to us all very soon.
 
Seeing as how the braces have to be manufactured and then shipped from Taiwan, I would expect a little bit of a wait even without delays and material shortages. Is it unfortunate? Sure, especially when the time difference from the initial estimate is so large. However, I feel Kozo was pretty straightforward in his statements relaying what he was told by the manufacturer. All my dealings with GTSpec have been as I expected of a small independent shop working to supply products to a very limited FX market. They go out of their way to see what people want but understandably can't/won't front the cost to have them made without financial commitments.

I would be disappointed too with the extra wait but when dealing with a made-to-order product this is one of the possible issues.

In the end I hope everyone receives their product quickly and are happy with Kozo and GTSpec.

Yup, it might have had some bumps, but at the end let's keep a positive tone and expect the good outcome. Like said above, I'd expect around 45 days, done some custom orders from China/Taiwan and usually it is around 30 - 45 days. I'd rather it was manufactured the right way than half ass. :)
 
Thanks guys, its out of my hands now. All I can do is keep at them :) I hope its sooner than what they say, So I hope you guys understand I'm doing what I can.
