1st driveshaft failure? Help!

My forward driveshaft broke where it attaches to the transmission. My mechanic and I are searching for a used replacement before dropping $800 on a new one. Anybody go experience this? Any recommendations on where to source? We searched online and potentially found one but are awaiting a response from the seller. Any help is appreciated.
 
When I had my CV axle manufacturing buisness we sold rebuilding components that we manufactured to Cardone they are a reputable source at a great price.

^ Oh, he's not looking for front axle shaft. He's looking for the front part the drive shaft runs to the rear differential. At least that my understanding. :smile (2):
 
Just checked for the driveshaft at Cardone they didn't have one in stock bur they do have a rebuild and return Service.

also. just for FYI, this shaft should be the same on all g35x's powered with the DE as well, so that means anything up to 06 on a g35x if you can find one...
