$1400.00 for 60 k servicing, oh no

Is anyone actually paying this for their 60 k servicing? I got this quote from Passport Infiniti in Alexandria, Va.

That price is insane but i know the 60 k is a mandatory one. My neighbor up the street has a 09 MX 35 that i had to help him hand push back up into his driveway, as i suspect he wasn't keeping up on the maintenance scheduling.

Is there any alternatives to this price of $1400.00?!?!?!?!?!

do it yourself and have some done at the dealer (like trans service etc.)

a little search goes a long way .... ( use the quick search above)

What's involved in a 60k service?
Bought used FX35 with 60k+, will it last??
60k Maintenance - do it yourself or pay ??
60k mile service this Friday

Wow! Looking at that list . . all you might need is a tranny & coolant flush. You're likely changing your oil & in-cabin filter regularly, so I wouldnt count that as a 60. Brake fluid probably done somewhere in btwn maybe.
What a freakin rip. You dont need to go to Infiniti for nada.
Whole lotta inspections that arnt even being made. They will sell you some brakes while you're there though. Standard dealer protocol

+1 on above comments. You can do most of those by yourself during the weekend. Don't forget you are paying the dealer $100+ / hr to change your oil, safety inspection, checking your belt, cabin filter replacement... it's not worthy at all.

Nothing is mandatory, except for regular oil/filter changes. But once you hit 100k than I suggest changing out all the fluids and spark plugs.

All of this stuff arent necessary, but some ppl go head and do it

Replace:
-engine oil and filter
-lubricate all locks/hinges
-automatice tranny fluid- i guess a flush
-climate controlled seat filters
- differential oil
- engine air filter
- coolant/flush system
-engine drive belts
- in cabin- microfilter
-manual transmision oil
- radiator cap
- radiator hoses
-replace transfer case oil (AwD)
-wiper blades
- rotate tires
- INSPECT the following:
= All lights
- axle and suspension parts
- front suspension ball joints
- brake lines and cables
-fuel lines/connections
-fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
- brake calipers, pads and rotors
-cruise control vacuum hoses
-drive shaft boots (AWD)
-exhaust system
- headlights/adjust if necessary
- propeller shaft (AWD)
- steering gear and linkage
- steering linkage ball joints

I called Passposrt Nissan and they won't take in the infinti, lol. I couldn't even get a quote from them.

I have a mechanic that i think im leaning towards going with. Im at 59,000 miles right now so i have a little time. Im up on my oil changes and everything. Some parts on the fx could use a bit of lubrication, like the steering column squeak when i put the key in the ignition and it lowers all the way down.

i have a 05 with 66000 miles on it and i do all the regular maintenance my such as change oil, brakes, filters and belts and i never had any problems so i have no idea about that 1400 price quote. What are they doing for all of that money?

never even knew aboout the 60k maintenance...haha... i went from 37k to 64k in 3 years... oil change every 6 months, changed wipers once (winter and summer wipers), DIY plugs (2 months ago), brakes (2 months ago) oh and new muffler... cost under $1400... car running smooth... knock, knock!
