Im bringing my nephew and wife to this event. But wanted to find out the earliest I can get the FX out of the "show" parking.
I know I paid the full $, but I was willing just to hang out so I get the privilege of leaving when I want....
yes I paid, so I will show. Show my stock FX. Or wild however they call it.
yes the autocross is additional and is optional. I wont be doing it but seems a like a good deal (driving lessons and track time).

Hello everyone:
The time is rapidly approaching when Team Transport has to cut live checks and make payments to vendors for services and materials to make the Toys for Tots Car Show happen. At this point in time, we do not have enough cars to make all the categories you have come to expect. We are asking you to take approximately 5 minutes (or less) to complete the survey, linked below. We’ve been in this situation before and had to cancel, but back then we had a lot more exposure ($12k to $17k a pop to be exact), but we have cut back on everything we possibly could and our partnership with Speed Ventures helps. However, your expectations of what makes a successful show is of great concern to us. Please help us to decide what to do by completing the attached survey!
The survey will close on 11/14/08 and we will send out the results on Saturday 11/15/08.

P.S. This in no way affects the Speed Ventures Track events for the weekend of 11/22-23.
As always, we have a ton of people registering after the last second, which makes it extremely hard to lock everything down and give everyone up-to-date information. We would like to thank everyone who responded (and registered) prior to the deadline and provided valuable feedback on the show’s fate!
So, without further delay….
1)[FONT="] [/FONT]The categories have been updated on the website (http://t4tcarshow.com/categories.htm)
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Because of low registration the stock | wild | mild categories have been eliminated this year. There were not enough to warrant separate categories – for the most part everyone is mild.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Any brand registered is at least recognized with a Best of Show, or it may have been rolled into its parent company/make’s 123 category.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Any model with at least 6 cars has a 123, but no Best of Show for that category (historically we have given up to 4 trophies for 6 cars)
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Any model with at least 8 cars has a Best of Show + 1st , 2nd , & 3rd place
-[FONT="] [/FONT]We did our best, but there is NO OTHER SHOW that offers as many trophies/categories as we try and offer. Most categories have at least a 50% chance of winning. We know for many of you that is not a major concern, but believe me… we get the emails!
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Remember, the Founder’s Award (6’ trophy) is for the club --OR-- individual that brings the most toys.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Team Spirit is for the Most Cars pre-registered.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Marine’s Choice is the show’s “Best of Show” award…it’s the car that they like the most and the marines collecting the toys are the judges, so talk them up and show them some hospitality!
2)[FONT="] [/FONT] Toys, Spectator Fees & Food
-[FONT="] [/FONT]I wanted to clarify that “Spectator Fee” is $10 this year, up from $5 last year. If you bring a toy, there is a $5 discount per person. Show participants are covered with their registration fee, but you still need to bring a toy, please.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Children 10 and under do not need to pay the Spectator Fee.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]There are no parking fees.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Donated toys should be new, unwrapped and worth at least $10 (per the Toys for Tots Foundation)
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Spectator / support vehicles may park inside the track in designated areas and will have in/out privs.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]AAA Speedway has advised that they will NOT have food concessions open this year. But they said that last year and opened anyway. So, I would recommend that you be prepared. You ARE ALLOWED to bring food and drink into the show, however you MAY NOT sell food to your neighbors.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]BBQ’s ARE ALLOWED. No alcohol or glass containers please.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Water and electricity are provided along the fence every 20-30 feet, or so – FREE
-[FONT="] [/FONT]As always, uniformed active military are invited to have lunch with the staff for FREE. Please let us know if you plan on eating with us.
3)[FONT="] [/FONT]Verify your Registration Info – all currently registered participants are now listed on the website at: http://t4tcarshow.com/participants08.htm
Please visit the page and review your info for errors, omissions, or duplicates and reply to us at this email address. Teams: if someone is missing, please contact us asap.
4)[FONT="] [/FONT]Load-in, has been and always will be posted on the site at: http://t4tcarshow.com/schedule.htm
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO be there by 7:00a with your team
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO bring your Paypal confirmation page (and please remember your PayPal email & name vs. registration name & email if different)
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO go to the first parking lot on your left as you enter off of Cherry Ave. before trying to go into the show.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DON’T try to load-in with half your people missing
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO double check all the names and wrist bands before leaving the registration table
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO have EVERYONE in your group sign a waiver at the table next to registration, and sign one for your minors
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO receive a wristband for your 10 year or younger child from Speed Ventures (FREE) in the tunnel, not at registration.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO be nice to the people at check-in, it’s the second worst job at the show.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DON’T show up at 9:30am trying to check-in (we’ll be inside the show at 9:15a)
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO be patient at all times. We know this might be your first show, but we can tell you as participants ourselves, we are a lot more patient and attentive to our participants than any other show out there. Look in our eyes, we’re not in it for the money.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO read this email and visit the website for all info
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DO email us with questions or AIM: socated or teamtransportorg
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DON’T try and register 3 more cars at the door. We just can’t update the judging system and categories to support that.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DON’T be discouraged by the weather. This event is rain or shine, and there are no refunds.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]DON’T be afraid to bring more than just one toy. Bring lots!
5)[FONT="] [/FONT]Teams/Clubs, AutoX & ROVAL Track Participants
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Please contact us by tomorrow, Wednesday 11/19 with any substitutions, changes or adds.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]Support vehicles may park in your area. Please let us know if you have an oversized vehicle, trailer or RV.
-[FONT="] [/FONT]In and Outs are allowed for ROVAL/Track & AutoX participants. IN and OUT makes a fine burger. Please make sure to have a team member or neighbor escort you and control pedestrian traffic as you exit the show area to run the AutoX or take your laps. Same on the return, please.
