My 2 cents: having wheel spacers would be nice but tend to lean on the safety aspect as well. Spacers will be in full contact to the wheels and "IF" anything should fail due to limited thread contact then the outcome can be highly cost. Get some quality/proven wheel spacers with designed longer studs, it's a good piece of mind to have it done right.
If you are mechanically inclined, you can follow the DIY (created by iS admin - FLX8R) and save the labor costs.

I would recommend:
10mm/more = longer studs
5mm = stock studs
