09 FX35 on ATS Racing/Fortune Coilovers w GTR wheels and Magnaflow exhaust

Just wanted to show you guys what we've been working on at ATS Racing. Been daily driving Infinitis since 06 (QX, G35, G37) but just picked up the first FX for a daily (Plat Graphite w tech/dvd/etc) a couple months ago. Transferred a couple of my mods off my G37s but quickly realized the market is lacking in FX parts so started building our own. Here she is so far, 14k miles with just a few mods. Dropped it down 1.5" (second pic w stock wheels) so we could prototype camber correction which we are still working on (these camber horribly!). Had to lift the front back up to get reasonable camber until we finish the arms. Had to remove and trim the rear plastic fenders to eliminate rub. Other mods are gtr wheels (295mm rr) G37 coupe Magnaflow full dual exh, 20% tint, stereo, and of course our coilover kit. Took it on its first 'road course' last month with a group of Rally cars (Celica GT4s) and was able to hang with a couple 300hp awd coupes w coilovers. Very pleased/suprised by performance so far. not bad, liking the look!! def think u need to lower the frant a tad bit to have an even drop front n rear tho lol

Thanks! If we do make a coilover kit to resell (jury is still out due to high costs of complete camber solution f&r) it will only be sold as a kit. The arms are literally more than the coilovers. Ill let you guys know if we add them to the website.

Unfortunately not, I'm not big on lowering cars for aesthetics (although its a nice benefit!), I wanted the coilovers for improved cornering performance. Stock suspension was wet noodle-esque ;)

we have the engineering drawings almost completed for our camber solutions. Once they are prototypes it'll be back on the lift and ill have plenty of pics of it dropped w the GTRs as we adjust the camber for lower ride height. I have to be careful with too much positive camber (which means I can't lower it much more) due to the wide 295mm rubber. It will be pushed into the inner fender trim. The front should drop at least 1/2" more.

As far as cost on the GTR rims, they can be found for around $1500 a set in good condition. I've seen them as cheap as $1200 but they go fast. Tires of course add a grand or so.
 
I for one, like the height of the FX.

I would like to have a good shock/spring setup for mine. Would like a heavier spring, and external reservoir shock type setup. Think rally-cross type setup, or cup truck. Lets face it. The days of smooth, level, maintained streets are over.

I was thinking of contacting “Fox Racing” to see what they would charge me for a setup on the front of mine.

FYI we offer remote reservoir shocks. Contact Fox and see, maybe they already make something. But if not we may be able to build you a one-off.

Kewl....yum..yum. Got any details on those? What do you'all use them on now? Those what you used? That would work, I can run the stock height, and still have all the adjustment when the weather changes. :0)

No, not competing in the FX. Have you seen this type of external reservoir setup, pretty nice? Made by Nitron Racing, they make automotive jewelry.

Sure, but i would assume you lose a lot of the benefit of an external reservoir which is increased capacity and cooling. You lose all the capacity held in the transfer hose, and the reservoir is getting all the convection PLUS the conduction heat loads increasing the potential for heat soak. But if your just going for aesthetics it's no worse than a non reservoir shock.
