'07: Advice on Sat & Ipod combo (need both)

Hey Gang,

Just picked up an '07 FX and spent the day searching the web to learn all I can about this beauty.

This one does not have nav and is just Sat ready (no sat button, or appearance of calling the sat 800# by pushing the radio button that bounces from FM to AM and back).

I def want to add Sat, and an iPod interface.
I read all around the forums, and learned of some common ipod devices (USA-Spec pops up the most).

But before I go ordering upgrades, I want to check with the experts here and make sure I do this smartly. Plus the various forum posts were many different date ranges, so I'm not sure what the most recent best options might be

Since I need both a Sat module and iPod interface...
My gut tells me to get the OEM Sat interface (Nissan is it?), and then the USA-Spec PA15-NIS.

But I don't know if the combo will work appropriately. Or if there are other options out there that make more sense for my particular setup.

Like everyone else, I'd love on screen info from the ipod.
Would rather use the stereo controls for controlling the ipod (steering wheel or the dash controls.. i just don't want to mess with the ipod itself).

Hope I'm not asking the same question for the millionth time on the forum. I know it's a popular subject, but couldn't find a relatively recent post that matched my needing both sat and iPod

Thanks gang... FX Rookie here looking to step up and learn more.

p.s. editing to add this
Installing the OEM Sat device.... is it as simple as plugging it in behind the stereo unit, or do I have to run wiring and install an antenna (the unit is Sat ready, so I'm hoping I just need to plug in the unit... but I saw on infitniparts that it comes with wiring and antenna)

The USA-Spec PA15-NIS is not out yet, but should be available for shipment any time. I will be installing it into my 07 FX35 once it is available, and I will post how it works. I do know that it is advertised as supporting SAT as well, but I can't say for sure.

Dice Electronics also offers a similar model, which is also expected to be available sometime soon (not sure on the date).

Thanks jDizzle.
I was following your posts on a couple of other threads. it was actually yours that peaked my interest in the PA15.

I have the USA-Spec in a Nissan Pathfinder and it works great. Extremely simple hookup (in taht just unpluged cd changer and plugged in USA-Spec box). Sounds quality is great.

I'm extremely curious to see what it actually displays on the screen, and how it looks.

I think we'll all be looking forward to your experience (and maybe a few pics :>).

The Sat part for me has me a little nervous. I don;t mind going behind the dash in the radio area, but I'm getting the impression I might have to run wires throughout the FX, which is something I don't want to mess with.
