Are your PCV valves not working properly?

They work fine, which is a good problem lol. The PCV on the intake side was spitting a lot of oil into my intake tube causing oil to build up on my throttle body. I’ve added a catch can on both banks now so my engine only should be breathing cleaner air now.

Would that not indicate that the valves are not working properly? They're supposed to vent gas but trap oil, right?

Hmm you’ve got a good point. I’ve heard of them clogging over time but never heard of them opening up. Isn’t it better just to remove them all together if running catch cans? I deleted the left side and added an AN fitting...

People replace clogged PCV valves when all they need to do is clean them with spray solvent.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this FX oil consumption problem is all about the vacuum port location on the intake. Too much vacuum at that point. Maybe utilize another port and add a T-fitting.

Very true. Could also be that the piston rings wear out prematurely.

I just don’t like the idea of recirculating those gases back into the engine... the catch cans were more of a peace of mind mod, for me anyway

The low pressure point is like an orb that moves back and forth through the intake based on throttle position and load. I'm thinking the port on the throttle body is perhaps too centralized thus allowing too much negative pressure to the valve covers thus drawing in raw oil instead of only vapor.

Here’s some pics of where I mounted the 2nd catch can. I plugged the other hole so that it vents to he atmosphere... just for reference. Hopefully it helps someone out
